SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Singer's Home Gets A Makeover
October 23, 2003When you're the lead singer of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, you tend to travel around the world with some frequency. And you collect a lot of unique items — particularly those with Asian/African/aboriginal influences — along your way.
But it doesn't mean you won't eventually get bored with your own decorating style. So after 10 years of living in his four-bedroom home, "Monster House" fan Mike Muir called on the crew to take his abode to the next level: the spookiest house yet.
Muir recently allowed cameras into his house for the filming of the 13th episode of the new Discovery Channel show called "Monster House".
According to Margot Douaihy of Residential Systems magazine, the reality-TV show "Monster House" is a collaboration between Original Productions and the Discovery Channel.
The object of the show, according to Just In Time's president, Justin Jones, is to "transform an ordinary house into an extraordinary house."
Each show commences with Discovery Channel's "Monster Foreman" and host Steve Watson touring the designated residence and gleaning ideas from the homeowners on their desired remodel. Then show's design team creates the renovation blueprints from scratch as walls are erected around to the home to prevent anyone from stealing a sneak peek at the project. The plans are then handed over to Discovery Channel's builders and installers to immediately begin the renovation process.
"Fright House", the special "Monster House" episode featuring Mike Muir, premieres Monday, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The Discovery Channel. For more information, click here.
